How to Capture Pets with 100% Success in Ragnarok Mobile

Start Here!

1. To capture a pet, you’ll need taming items to give as gifts. These taming items can be acquired through:

• Colorful Shell Shop or the Smokie NPC located at South Prontera (It's the same Shell Shop though!)
• Monster Drops in Endless Tower and certain dungeons
• Events or special rewards introduced in updates

 

2. The key to capturing pets is ensuring you provide enough taming materials. When the hearts surrounding the monster turn YELLOW, it’s ready to be captured.

3. If you're not confident in taming stronger monsters yet, try practicing with the low-level pets first (eg: Poring, Lunatic, etc.)

 

Preparation Before Capturing a Pet

1. Disable Auto Attack
Go to your Adventure Skills tab and locate the Auto Attack option. Uncheck the setting below the skill’s description to avoid accidentally attacking the monster.

2. Add Taming Items to Your Item Bar
Make sure you have enough taming items for the specific pet you’re targeting. (Refer to the taming item table below.) Place the taming items in your item bar for quick access during the capturing process.

3. Find a Good Spot
Locate the monster you want to tame and ensure it’s not being attacked by other players. To avoid interruptions, find an area where you’re alone.

Steps to Capture a Pet

Step 1: Present Your Taming Items	To capture a monster, select it and click your taming item. You’ll see two options: Catch: Capture the monster. Present: Offer the taming item as a gift. Always start with Present. Each time you present an item, red hearts will appear above the monster. Keep presenting until all hearts turn yellow.
Step 2: Catch Your Pet	Once all hearts are yellow, the monster is ready to be captured. Select the Catch option.

Pro Tip: Feeling Lucky?

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try directly capturing the pet without presenting any gifts. This method works occasionally but relies on luck. I've tried it before and I was lucky to capture a couple of them. Proceed at your own risk! 😁
