Flame Ore Stories (Miner's Obsession)
General Info on SMVP Collection:
- SMVPs are on a weekly cycle rotation. It means this quest cannot be completed in a day. You have to wait for each SMVP every week. (There's a total of 3 SMVPs for this quest so this will take a minimum of 3 weeks.)
- You have to kill the SMVP guardian/s to summon the SMVP
- Guardians respawn 2 hours after killing the SMVP
- Channel Switching penalty applies
- Stamina affects the chances of drop (Make sure you have enough stamina when you’re doing this or chances are you’re going to have to keep repeating this because of lower drop rate)
Quest Details
To summon the Firelord SMVP, search the map for Firelord Guardians (monsters with unique names). Just
go around the map and kill them. Once all Guardians are defeated, an SMVP Speech announcement will flash on your screen. That is your cue to hunt down the Firelord SMVP itself.

They typically appear as Fire Fledgling, Fiery Elf, or Fiery Mane
Firelord SMVP
You will know that it's the SMVP because they have a different name
NPC Item Exchange
Take your SMVP drops to their corresponding NPCs to trade them for the official collectibles. Once you have collected all three, speak to Lucian to claim your Flame Ore.
